70s Egyptian Crime Jazz & Spy Funk | The Last Negative — Cairo 1975

70s Egyptian-inspired crime jazz, vintage spy funk and nocturnal cinematic grooves — a 56-minute original instrumental soundtrack to a fictional crime film set in Cairo, 1975. *IMAGINARY FILM BUREAU presents FILE 009: THE LAST NEGATIVE* Cairo, 1975. An anonymous roll of 35mm film arrives at a photographic laboratory after midnight. One frame shows a man declared dead three years earlier. Someone has already taken the first print. As a taxi crosses the Nile and the city's newspaper offices prepare for dawn, a photographer follows the trail of a missing image. Only one negative remains. *THE SOUNDTRACK* Ten continuous instrumental chapters of Egyptian-inspired crime jazz, vintage spy funk, mysterious bass grooves, warm electric organ, muted trumpet and psychedelic guitar. An imaginary 1970s crime-film atmosphere for late-night listening, reading, writing and cinematic immersion. *TRACKLIST / CHAPTERS* 00:00 The Last Negative 03:36 Contact Sheet No. 6 09:18 Three Years Dead 14:52 Studio After Midnight 21:50 Taxi Across the Nile 26:58 The Missing Print 32:24 No Lights in the Office 39:02 The Wrong Frame 44:53 Before the Presses Run 50:03 One Frame Left *ABOUT IMAGINARY FILM BUREAU* Imaginary Film Bureau creates original instrumental soundtracks and cinematic worlds for fictional international crime, spy, noir and heist films set between 1965 and 1979. The films never existed. Their soundtracks do. This is a contemporary fictional production, not an archival recording or the soundtrack of a real 1975 film. Music and imagery were created using generative AI tools, then curated, sequenced, edited and assembled for this release. Explore Imaginary Film Bureau:    / @imaginaryfilmbureau   Imaginary Films.
