How to set up a gunmount spinnaker

A gunmount spinnaker or as it is sometimes called, a yardarm spinnaker, is different to both a downwind or an asymmetric spinnaker but does the job of both. A downwind spinnaker is tacked to a pole with a free clew. The asymmetric is usually tacked to a bowsprit also with a free clew. The gunmount spinnaker however is tacked to both ends of a pole mounted usually on the pulpit, which can swivel as well as being able to be pulled out to either side if required.
