I Visited Nigeria’s Most Fascinating $2.7Billion Megaproject- Lagos Free Zone & Lekki Deep Sea Port

There are places in Lagos that you visit for the scenery. And then there are places you visit because you want to understand where the city and perhaps Nigeria is heading. I recently stepped inside Lagos Free Zone and what I saw was bigger than I expected. This is an emerging industrial and logistics ecosystem built around one of Nigeria’s most significant pieces of infrastructure — a deep-sea port designed to connect businesses in Nigeria to regional and global markets. In this video, I take you inside Lagos Free Zone, show you the Lekki Deep Sea Port, share what I learned during my visit, and give you a closer look at the infrastructure, businesses and opportunities developing in this part of Lagos. For someone who looks at real estate, investment and economic growth, this was particularly interesting because infrastructure of this scale doesn’t exist in isolation. Ports bring trade.
