The new Seiko 5 Sports Field GMT HDB001K and HDB002K bring two fresh colourways to Seiko’s popular Field series, combining traditional military-inspired styling with the added practicality of a GMT function. The Seiko 5 Sports HDB001K features a darker olive green dial that leans into the classic field-watch aesthetic, while the HDB002K takes a lighter approach with a clean cream dial. Both feature bold Arabic numerals, clear minute markings and a dedicated GMT hand, giving each watch strong legibility while maintaining the rugged look associated with the Field collection. Both models are powered by Seiko’s Calibre 4R34 automatic movement, which is fuelled by the natural movement of the wearer and offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The movement also supports manual winding and features a GMT complication for tracking a second time zone alongside the local time. The additional GMT hand works with the 24-hour scale around the dial, making these watches particularly useful for travel or for anyone who regularly keeps track of another time zone. The 39.4mm stainless-steel case gives both models a compact and versatile fit on the wrist. Each watch is paired with a stainless-steel bracelet and protected by curved Hardlex crystal, while LumiBrite on the hands and markers helps maintain visibility in darker conditions. A practical date display is positioned at three o’clock, while the see-through screw case back provides a view of the automatic movement inside. Both models also offer 100 metres of water resistance, making them well suited to everyday wear and travel. While the HDB001K delivers the more traditional military-inspired look with its olive green dial, the HDB002K stands out with a cream finish that contrasts sharply against the stainless-steel case and bracelet.
