Chen Qigang, born on August 28, 1951, a Chinese-French composer. He graduated from the Composition Department of the Central Conservatory of Music. In 1984, Chen Qigang went to France for further study and became the last disciple of the famous French composer Olivier Messiaen. Along the way, he won numerous awards and great reputation. Later in life, he chose to live in a small mountain village in Suichang County of Lishui, Zhejiang Province.
