How do games cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make, yet somehow feel less complete than games we played 10–20 years ago? In this video, I’m talking about how high-budget games have gone in the complete opposite direction of what gaming used to be. Growing up, we had games with incredible story modes, smooth gameplay, memorable characters, detailed worlds, and so much content that made you feel like your money was well spent. And the crazy part? Those games were made with a fraction of the budgets we see today. So what happened? Nowadays, it feels like these massive budgets are going toward everything EXCEPT the actual game. We’re seeing games launch with bare-bones content, missing features, disappointing story modes, and gameplay that somehow feels less polished than games from previous generations. Instead of pushing gaming forward and delivering experiences that surpass what came before, too many developers seem comfortable releasing games that feel 25% complete and expecting players to stick around while they spend the next few years finishing the other 75%. Why are we paying more for games that sometimes deliver less? Where did the attention to detail, ambition, and passion go? With the technology and budgets available today, gaming should be better than it has ever been, but why does it feel like we're moving backward? I want to hear what YOU think. Are modern AAA games actually getting worse, or are we just looking at the past through rose-colored glasses? Let me know in the comments because this is a conversation every gamer should be having.
