"Danny Boy" is a traditional Irish Folk Ballad whose text was written in 1910 by Frederick Weatherly, a Scottish attorney who never had chance to visit Ireland. The song's words were adapted on the popular Irish jingle "Air Londonderry" (or "Derry Air", according to the pronunciation adopted by those who do not recognize the legitimacy of the name Londonderry), a Traditional Anthem of Northern Ireland.
