Arts and Culture Publicist Lynn Tejada Shares Valuable Advice

#publicity #losangeles #artsandculture #publicist Lynn Tejada, founder of Green Galactic, is an arts and culture publicist based in Los Angeles. She shares her 33-year career in promotions and publicity, starting with record pools in the 1990s and expanding to work with musicians, playwrights, filmmakers, and authors across various disciplines. She discusses the challenges of being a publicist, including navigating media landscapes, managing client expectations, and dealing with the competitive nature of getting press coverage in Los Angeles. Lynn explains her pricing structure typically involves monthly retainers rather than hourly rates, and emphasizes the importance of relationship building and proper lead time for successful campaigns. We talk about how AI tools like PodPitch are helping publicists and artists connect, and Lynn shares her life in Los Angeles, where she enjoys the diverse culture and topography of the city.
