If a point of truth from the Word comes up and a man tries to explain his view to one with an opposing view, the listener is not at all listening that he might learn, but is listening only to refute what is being said. CAB (9 - The Laodicean Church Age) 3 And I been accused a lot of times of—of condemning other churches. That’s wrong. I do not condemn other churches. I condemn, many times, things that—that they condone, but I certainly don’t condemn the church. But, many times, when they teach things that’s contrary to the Scriptures, then I—I condemn that. And then when they do things that’s sinful, and—and permit it to be done in their churches, I condemn that. But never…Just like it’s said…I have many Catholic friends setting here, and I never condemn the Catholic people. I condemn the doctrine of the Catholic church, ’cause I don’t believe it’s Scriptural. And no more than I condemn them than I do many of the Protestant denominations, ’cause I do not think it’s Scriptural. And I am duty bound to stand for what’s Truth. See? You know, God will appreciate you if you’ll be honest, just sincere. 58-1005M - Hear His Voice 76 You know, people want power, and really they don’t know what power is. See, they—they don’t really know what—what—what goes with it. The—the way up is down, always. If you want power, see how humble you can get. Just get away from all your worldly thinking, and humble yourself before God, and then you’ve got more power than the man that runs all over the building and makes a big lot of noise; see, because you have been able to conquer yourself, and commit yourself to Christ, you see, to humble yourself before Him. That’s really power. 63-0714E - Humble Thyself 80 Love one another, above everything. Love one another. Don’t…No matter what the devil tries to say! Now you’re all one great big sweet group now, but remember my warning, see, Satan won’t let that stay that way. No, sir. He’ll shoot everything, if he has to bring somebody in to make his target. He’ll bring some critic or unbeliever in, and sit him down, and cause him to fellowship with you under the quietness and things, and then he’ll shoot that guy with some kind of a poison stuff, and he’ll start through the church with it. Don’t you take sides with it. Don’t you have nothing to do with anything else. You stay right loving and sweet and kind to one another. Pray for that man, that he’ll be saved too, or that woman, or ever who it is, just pray for them. And stick one with another. 81 And stay with your pastor. See, he’s the shepherd, and you give him respects. He’ll lead you through, and, ’cause he’s ordained of God to do so. 82 Now do you remember that? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] The enemy will come. And when he does, just cling that much closer together. And the one that the devil is using for an enemy will either get out or come in and be one of you. That’s all. 63-0728 - Christ Is The Mystery Of God Revealed 284 “The hidden manna,” a little something special. What is the special? Not something to…The blessings of the Holy Ghost? Oh, no, that’s for the whole congregation. But the “hidden manna” was a special revelation ’cause he had to teach the others. See? Was a little more knowledge of the Scripture, that he could teach others. He’s supposed to be. Is that right? You’ll never live no higher than your pastor. You just remember that, see. And so…Cause he’s the shepherd that feeds you. If he’s the shepherd, he’s got to know where the manna is, to feed the—the sheep. Is that right? Now, a little special. And watch this just a minute, the revelation, the hidden manna. 60-1207 - The Pergamean Church Age 8 If you’ve been converted during the time of this revival, and you don’t have any church that you’ve taken up with yet, I’d ask you to come join this little church. It’s a wonderful little place here to come, serve the Lord. If I lived here in this neighborhood, I’d be a member of this church. I am a member of it, anyhow; I’m an associate pastor. And so, I have to come back once in a while to see about my church.
