Leaving Esbjerg behind, I set out for Malmö, but Denmark had a surprise waiting for me. Two of the biggest bridges I’ve ever crossed, stretching higher and farther than I could have imagined. On the bike, they felt endless. The day itself wasn’t without challenges: allergies left me fighting itchy eyes, and I started to realize just how expensive Denmark can be. Budgeting on a long trip like this is its own battle, but the ride is always worth it. Finally, I reached Malmö, worn out but excited, because tomorrow the real adventure begins with the trans European trail (TET) Sweden, Section 1.
