THE BOY WHO DRANK BOTTLES OF VODKA AT AGE 12 BECAME A DOCTOR | Dag Heward-Mills

Bishop Dag Heward-Mills introduces his associate evangelist and tells him plainly that he does not fully appreciate what Christ has done for him. The evangelist testifies that before salvation his school grades were as low as five and ten percent, and by age twelve he was visiting a friend's house, taking whole bottles of vodka, gulping them down, and passing out, only to wake up somewhere else the next morning. After giving his life to Christ, his grades shot up to eighty and ninety-five percent. Bishop Dag traces the transformation: the boy who was passing out from drinking became a medical doctor, a specialist, and a university lecturer who teaches other doctors. He recounts passing the door of a nightclub where this man once emerged at three and four in the morning surrounded by sin, and quotes Titus 2:11, that the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. He charges believers to truly appreciate the magnitude of what God has rescued them from.
