Before the day asks for your attention, begin in God’s presence.
Before the messages, responsibilities, decisions, worries, work, and unexpected moments begin filling your mind, spend this hour praying through ancient Psalms and allowing God to quiet, guide, strengthen, and prepare your heart.
Through Psalms 5, 143, 56, 28, 119, 71, 121, 20, 118, and 90, this journey moves through prayer, surrender, waiting, guidance, wisdom, courage, strength, peace, refuge, protection, confidence, gratitude, and learning to carry God’s presence into ordinary life.
May these Psalms remind you:
You can bring your first thoughts and burdens to God.
Waiting does not mean God is absent.
You do not need the whole road to receive the next faithful direction.
Fear can be present without becoming your master.
God gives strength that can remain gentle.
Truth can become a foundation for real peace.
God is a refuge you can return to again and again.
Your help comes from the Lord.
Preparation is useful, but God alone deserves your deepest confidence.
The presence you seek in the morning can remain with you through the entire day.
Listen during morning prayer, Bible reading, breakfast, journaling, preparing for work, commuting, or whenever you want to begin your day aware of God’s presence.
