'I Went Under General Anaesthetic To Have Half My Body Tattooed' | This Morning

It’s a growing trend being called ‘sedation-assisted tattooing’ for people wanting large-scale ink without the pain or lengthy sessions. Abbey Zucarelli, from New York, had previously travelled to Canada for her tattoos, but for her latest piece, she wanted an arm sleeve, half a leg sleeve and a large area of her back done. Knowing she could tolerate only around five hours of pain at a time, and wanting to save time on numerous trips, she decided to be sedated so the major artwork could be completed in one go, at a total cost of $80,000. She joins us to tell us about the procedure, and why it’s growing in popularity across the pond.
