Prayer for a Son Piano Original

In 1977 I was preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and my Mom found a poem called "Prayer for a Missionary" and asked if I could put it to music. Without much knowledge of music or songwriting at the time I came up with this music which was sung and played at church before I left in January 1978. I've brought it back to life with a piano version that I'm sharing here. I've renamed it "Prayer for a Son" as I believe there is comfort for anyone who has ever prayed for a son.
