Catholic Sacred Music | Hodie Si Vocem Eius - Harden Not Your Heart | Morning Prayer

Catholic Sacred Music | Hodie Si Vocem Eius - Harden Not Your Heart | Morning Prayer Before the day begins, there is a moment when everything is still. In that moment, a Voice calls. This chant is built around a single word: Today. Hodie. Inspired by Psalm 94, it opens as an invitation — come, adore, come in silence — and then rests on the image of a people gathered like sheep in the care of their Shepherd. At its heart is a quiet warning that returns twice: if you hear His voice today, do not harden your hearts. The song ends on that same word, almost whispered, until only the piano remains, alone with the silence. May this chant lead you into silence — and may silence lead you to prayer. Ora. Contempla. Permane. If this chant brought you a moment of peace, consider subscribing to ‪@SanctaAbbatia‬ more sacred Latin prayer and Gregorian chant. Hodie... nolite obdurare. LYRICS (English Translation) Come, let us adore the Lord, who made us. Come in silence before His face. He is our God, and we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Let us bow down before God, let us weep before the Lord. In His hand are the ends of the earth, and the heights of the mountains He beholds. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Today... do not harden. Sancta Abbatia · Catholic Sacred Music · Latin Prayer #CatholicSacredMusic #LatinPrayer #MorningPrayer
