54 Days to 76th Appearance Day of HH Radhanath Swami | Glorification by HG Damodar Prabhu.

Hare Krishna! Just 54 days remaining for the 76th Appearance Day of HH Radhanath Swami Guru Maharaj! We continue our journey of sharing daily drops from his divine qualities. Today, we present the glorification by HG Damodar Prabhu. HH Radhanath Swami Guru Maharaj says: “Dealing with negativity in a positive way is called tolerance.” HG Damodar Prabhu shares how Guru Maharaj once expressed that he feels sheltered among the devotees and, in that mood of humility and gratitude, does not wish to leave their shelter. Prabhuji explains how Guru Maharaj never allows negativity to dominate his outlook but instead transforms negative situations into positive opportunities. He shares several remarkable pastimes, including an incident following the publication of The Journey Home, when many devotees criticised Guru Maharaj, and how beautifully Maharaj responded to that criticism. Prabhuji also recounts an incident from the early days of Govardhan Eco Village (GEV), when the financial committee told Guru Maharaj that GEV was like a “black hole”—consuming money without generating any returns. Maharaj’s response was truly remarkable: he agreed that it was a black hole, but why did he say so, and what was the deeper understanding behind his response? Prabhuji further shares how, during a time when Guru Maharaj was preaching extensively and some devotees wanted to sideline him so that he would not become too prominent, they sent him to Mumbai, where there was very little preaching at the time. Yet, Guru Maharaj’s way of viewing and accepting this circumstance was extraordinary. Through these and other beautiful pastimes, Prabhuji reveals how Maharaj consistently transforms negativity into positivity. May we learn from Guru Maharaj to face criticism, misunderstandings, and unfavourable circumstances with tolerance and humility, and develop the vision to turn every situation into an opportunity for Krishna consciousness.
