We took the yellow 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave up this beautiful one-way gravel road leading out of Cades Cove, Tennessee. You do not need a heavily modified Jeep to enjoy this adventure. Rich Mountain Road is vehicle-friendly, peaceful, and packed with spectacular Smoky Mountain scenery. Along the way, we crossed one small creek and found plenty of places to pull over, enjoy the views, and stop for a picnic. This is not an extreme off-road trail. It is a relaxing mountain drive and a beautiful way to spend part of the day exploring the quieter side of Cades Cove.
