Doom's Battleworld is not a planet. It is a patchwork stitched out of dead universes, and every piece of ground on it belonged to somebody else first.
In 2015 Marvel ended its own universe, printed a gravestone for it, and let Doom keep the wreckage. What he built out of it has a map with numbered kingdoms, a police force of hundreds of Thors, and a wall two hundred and fifty feet tall and sixteen thousand miles long that he laid by hand. This is how that world was assembled, who was holding it up from underneath, and the one thing he built it all to get that he could never actually make.
Everything here comes from the comics themselves. No theories, no leaks, no fan-canon.
