THE ROCK CLOCK is one cycle: forty-one minutes exactly, nine tracks, opening on a strike and ending on a strike. Every percussion sound is metal — struck drill casing, scaffold pipe tuned to pitch, sheet steel, springs, chain, a bowed saw blade — with soft-beater skin drums for weight and not a single cymbal anywhere. Under all nine tracks there is one near-infrasonic pulse whose period does not divide evenly into the bar, so it slides against the music for the entire album and lines up exactly once, at the climax, for about eight seconds.
It is not a horror record. What happens to the crew is closer to conversion, and the chant in track seven is meant sincerely. The cost arrives afterwards: a hundred days on 41-minute units puts you a long way out of phase with the sun, and by the end the station is living inside the hole's time and nobody else's.
For headphones, subwoofers, night shifts, deep work, and long stretches where you would rather keep your own time than the world's.

SUPPORT THE JOURNEY
This record is built almost entirely from struck metal and sub-bass, which means most of its sounds had to be made rather than played, and the whole thing is engineered to run as one unbroken forty-one minute cycle. If it earns a place in your night shifts, a contribution keeps the strange builds funded and every album here free and unbroken.

Concept, lyrics, arrangement and mix direction: Elysian Beats. All lyric text is original. Metal percussion, geophone-derived granular textures and the infrasonic pulse were designed in-house. The borehole, the station, the crew and the 41-minute period are fictional; the depth is roughly plausible and the physics is not endorsed.
