Join us for an evening with Alan Akaka as he takes us on a musical tour of Hawai’i’s most iconic sound: Hawaiian steel guitar. Akaka, a renowned Hawaiian steel guitarist and educator, will lead a discussion about the history, science, culture and influence of Hawaiian steel guitar. Among his many accomplishments, Akaka teamed up with Asher Guitar to produce his modern day Signature Model 8-String Hawaiian steel guitar.
