Diagnosis and Repair of a ZF 63 V-Drive Marine Transmission Stuck in Gear

This is the disassembly, inspection, reapir and testing of this ZF Hurth transmission. The boat ran aground and the transmission was stuck in forward gear. In this overview I show the failure and explain the cause. These transmissions are popular in Mercruiser, Crusader, and Volvo applications. Very popular in Sea Ray, Tiara, Silverton, Stamasand other applications.
