Pavane opus 50, Gabriel Faure

Professor P plays the arrangement for accordion quintet by Paul De Bra, of the Pavane opus 50 by Gabriel Fauré. This arrangement was written specifically for an accordion quintet, so there is no diviso anywhere and register changes are not impossible. The original composition is for wind instruments and strings and makes use of the many instruments to make the repeating theme sound differently every time. On the accordion we use registers to that effect. The arrangement has many register changes. It is not difficult and can be played using small (41 notes) accordions. The only possible difficulty is that like the original composition the arrangement is in the key of F# minor.
