Yaxel Lendeborg Admitted This in Our Interview

Steve Kerr just named Yaxel Lendeborg as a starter, and Warriors fans have a lot of opinions. We caught up with Yaxel Lendeborg at training camp in Hawaii, days before his first NBA game, to see how he's handling life in the same locker room as Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Yaxel admits he's still starstruck. He also says he's nervous about starting, but he's not feeling any extra pressure. His plan is to fall in line, play efficiently, and learn from the guys who've already won four titles. He also explains how he's earning the vets' respect, and Draymond is already deep in his ear about defense. Topics discussed include: First NBA training camp in Hawaii and being starstruck by Steph Why he calls Al Horford "Grandpa" (and Draymond too) Getting the starting nod from Steve Kerr, and the nerves that come with it How a rookie earns the respect of the vets Learning defense from Draymond Green Michigan vs. Michigan State trash talk The Kyrie Irving comment that took off on NBA Twitter Why he plays in retro Jordans Should a rookie be starting for the Warriors, or is Kerr taking a risk?
