Making a 3D Template and Jig and Cutting an Owl Blank on the Bandsaw

This is a bit of a "master class" on blank cutting. Cam will show you how he compound cuts a life-size Saw Whet owl on the bandsaw. He then continues to show how he creates and uses a 3D template to draw the back view on subsequent blanks (particularly useful when cutting multiple blanks). He finishes up by demonstrating how he compound cuts multiple blanks using the 3D template and a 3D cutting jig that he made from the first blank he cut. Cam has been using this technique which he developed years ago to cut multiple blanks for classes he has taught. It not only saves considerable time, but also saves wood.
