A Perfect Day on the NORTH SHORE

On a whim I woke up and drove 4 hours to the North Shore. With no plan in mind, I just wanted to ride there again. It's been a whole year. It was hard to choose which mountain to hit but ultimately I chose Fromme because that's where I learned to bike. There's nothing else like the North Shore in the MTB world. The care and detail that has gone into the trail building for the last 40 years or more is prolific. Some of the most intense and insane features in the world are here. Even though it was Aug 2, it rained, and I was so happy for it, because ultimately it made it the quintessential North Shore day. I mean, biking in North Vancouver in the rain is a right of passage. I was super stoked to ride all these trails, and to finally be able to check out the Zen Garden on Pipeline. What an absolute building masterpiece. I was so satisfied with this day I hardly noticed the 4 hour ride home.
