Scheduled for completion in 2027. These components, as also wind blades are transported from Bunbury Port.
The 105-megawatt renewable energy facility is being constructed by WA State owned energy retailer Synergy.
17 Vestas wind turbines will be constructed, each standing 206 metres tall from the base to the top of the blade.
Power Output, to generate up to 105 MW, to produce enough clean energy to power approximately 70,000 households.
We were on a day road trip out from Perth, when we spotted pilot vehicles parked up roadside, and yeah we knew something heavy was on the approach, to be heading up Roelands Hill. So just waited for them to show up, the block trucks were hitched up to the loads, at the bottom of Roelands Hill.
QUBE Heavy Lift are another trucking company that now shift heavy oversize loads. This one is a first for me, to grab these two Volvo FH16's of theirs!
Following QUBE's load, there is JMT Transport with their C509. And helper block truck Mack Titan from S.R.Coyne Contracting.
The two block trucks were unhooked at the little townsite of Allanson, just before Collie.

These wind farm heavy moves, travel cross country from Bunbury Port to Hyden, via Collie, Arthur River, Wagin, Dumbleyung, Kulin and Kondinin.
