The day has finally arrived—we are officially planting on our 1/4 acre land in Jamaica! 🇬🇧 ➡️ 🇯🇲 As a UK expat family building our dream life on the carribean island, putting our first trees into the ground marks a huge milestone in turning this land into our home. We start our day at Williamsfield Plant Nursery in Manchester, where we show you their massive selection of over 100 plant and tree varieties! We share a full price breakdown on everything we looked at—including Foxtail Palms ($600 JMD), Washington Palms ($500 JMD), and Christmas Palms ($500 JMD). Plus, we got a free dwarf Coconut "Jelly" tree for every family member! 🥥 We also take a tour through Best Buds in Kingston and stop at Flowers, Fruits, and Friends along the A2 highway in May Pen (where we spotted gorgeous Bougainvillea for $800 JMD!). Back at the land, Theodore and Hazel get straight to work helping unload the boot and planting the very first tree on our property! 🏗️ WE ARE LOOKING FOR LOCAL BUILDERS IN JAMAICA! We are getting ready to dig our trenches and start our house build! We are currently looking for reliable local construction workers who are happy to be featured on our YouTube channel: 🔨 General Labourers 🏗️ Steel Men / Steel Fixers 🧱 Masons If you or someone you know in the area is interested, please leave a comment or contact us directly below!
