Kuchh To Ban Jaye Wisal Ki Soorat کچھ تو بَن جائے وصال کی صورت is an aspirational tarana from احیائے آرزو — a journey through hope, justice, knowledge, striving, spiritual search and the desire to shape one’s life around a higher ideal. It begins with a longing for وصال — union — but that longing gradually expands beyond the individual. The poet dreams of justice in his homeland, limitless flight, a life flowing with knowledge and skill, an unending journey of growth, and finally a search in which every horizon and every thought points toward the Beloved. The tarana ultimately returns to پَیرَوِی — following: the hope that one’s very identity may become connected with the path one follows and the example one seeks to embody. ⸻ Meaning & Interpretation The opening couplet expresses a desire for transformation. Wisal is not necessarily merely physical union; it can signify spiritual nearness, fulfilment, reconciliation, or the moment when separation begins to acquire meaning. The poem then deliberately turns outward. Personal longing becomes a prayer for the homeland: for justice to prevail and for disorder not to deepen. From there, flight becomes a metaphor for human possibility. The poet asks that aspiration should have no ceiling and that progress should never surrender itself to decline. Yet achievement is not defined through wealth, status or recognition. The poem instead declares: May life become a flowing current of knowledge and skill; may this alone be the form of my excellence. The journey itself then becomes permanent. There is no final destination because every achievement opens another horizon. The gazelle represents grace, vitality and effortless forward motion. In the final verses, the outward journey becomes inward and spiritual. The eye searches every horizon, while the mind transforms every thought into another form of seeking. Ultimately, the poet asks for something deeper than arrival: that following the Beloved should become the very identity of his existence, and that the Beloved’s name should remain connected with the example by which he tries to live. From the original poetry collection: احیائے آرزو Original poetry and creative concept © خالق نواز ملک / Sufi Soul Studio.
