Tatum Langley | “The Masquerade is Over” at The Jazz Kitchen

Hi everyone! It’s been forever and a day since I’ve posted anything to this channel, and I thought I’d share this one because it is one of my most favorite live performing memories. This was my first professional jazz gig after graduating college, and this song touches my heart so deeply. It was a gift to share it live and in-person after so many virtual, masked, and distanced performances. HOPEFULLY I will find the time and energy and capacity to post some more videos here on my YouTube page, but I definitely stay more active over on my other socials (TikTok: @tiktattok and IG: @tatum_langley) Here’s “The Masquerade is Over”, a la Nancy Wilson & Cannonball Adderley performed live at The Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis with the Ball State Jazz 1 Ensemble, dir. Mark Buselli, ft. Tatum Langley on vocals. (also - my deepest apologies about the cut out trumpet feature from this video. however was wonderful enough to snag this video for me stopped recording during the solo and started again when I came back in. I wish very much I had a video in it’s entirety, but this is the best I’ve got)
