Home improvement sales reps can overcome “too much money” on a one call close by using price conditioning, credibility, and value to change what homeowners believe the project should cost. After you build that value, you still have to know how to close the sale. My free One Call Close Mini-Course shows you how to handle “too much money,” “I need to think about it,” and “3 estimates”: https://courses.sellinginhome.com/cou... Most homeowners have no reliable idea what windows, roofing, HVAC, siding, bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, or other high-ticket home improvements should cost. Their price expectation may come from the internet, a friend, another estimate—or nothing more than a guess. That expectation can change when you give them better information from a source they trust. In this video, you’ll learn: Why you must believe in your company’s price before the homeowner will How to separate a product’s material cost from its total value How price conditioning changes what homeowners expect to spend Why your company, installation, warranty, professionalism, and expertise all build value How the quality of your sales presentation affects the perceived quality of your product Why homeowners can expect one price and willingly invest much more How to make a higher price feel fair without pressure, manipulation, or overcharging After more than 35 years in home improvement sales and over 16,000 in-home appointments, I’ve learned that price is based on perception. Your job is to replace the customer’s original expectation with more complete and credible information. When you price condition correctly and build enough value, the homeowner stops comparing your price to an uninformed number in their head. Instead of saying, “That’s too much money,” they may say, “That’s less than I thought it would be.” This only works when you represent a company you believe in and the customer receives everything you promise. Selling is telling the truth in the best possible light. #HomeImprovementSales #OneCallClose #PriceConditioning #PriceObjections #InHomeSales #HighTicketSales #CommissionSales #SalesTraining
