Zambujeire to Odeceixe, Stage Four of the Fisherman's Trail through the Algarve.

This is a beautiful walk along the Atlantic Coast in Southern Portugal. It is stage four of the Fisherman's trail. This walk is well way-marked and it is about twelve miles long. The trail takes you along the Atlantic Coast and then comes inland for a little bit, through woodland and countryside. The challenges are walking on sand, but the challenge of this is far outweighed by the stunning views of the Atlantic coast line, the soundscape and the scent of the cliff top garden and the woodland. There are places to stop for rest, reflection and refreshments along the route. I walked this trail in October when the average temperature was a pleasant 24 degrees centigrade. I walked this trail comfortably in walking trainers. The trail can be enjoyed by people of average fitness.
