West Nose Creek Willow Planting 2021

This video shows how willow planting on West Nose Creek is transforming the stream into a trout stream with healthy riparian habitat. The work completed to date will also enhance the bio-diversity along the creek and make it more attractive to passer's by and nature lovers, not to mention fly fishers. In the future of course! The city of Calgary recently upgraded the West Nose Creek to a class C trout stream, from a D classification that lists streams of being void of trout or fish for that matter. Things are looking better for West Nose Creek, so now we need your help!
