Harbor Bistro at The Rif Curaçao Review | Convenient À La Carte Dining, but Is It Worth It?

In this video, I take you inside Harbor Bistro, the international à la carte restaurant at The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao All-Inclusive, Curio Collection by Hilton. Harbor Bistro is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, making it a convenient alternative to the resort’s buffet restaurants. The menu offers a selection of international dishes in a modern and relaxed setting. During our visits, the food was reasonable overall, but the quality varied considerably between courses. The starters were generally the strongest part of the meal. They were attractively presented and several of them were genuinely flavourful. The main courses were less convincing. The hamburger contained relatively little meat, while the steak looked better than it tasted and lacked seasoning and flavour. The desserts were acceptable, but fairly average and not especially memorable. Unfortunately, the service was also inconsistent. There appeared to be enough staff working in the restaurant, yet drinks sometimes took a surprisingly long time to arrive. Some employees were warm, friendly and attentive, while others seemed less engaged and service-oriented. Other travellers report similarly mixed experiences. Some guests describe Harbor Bistro as tasty or even excellent, praising both the food and service. Others consider it better for breakfast than for lunch or dinner, describing the later meals as mediocre. Complaints about waiting for drinks or sitting unattended also appear in guest reviews. Our conclusion? Harbor Bistro is perfectly suitable for a quick lunch, a light bite or an easy meal without visiting the main buffet. The starters can be very enjoyable, but the main courses, desserts and service do not always reach the standard you might expect from a premium all-inclusive resort.
