📝 Ingredients
For Kulthi (Horse Gram):
750g Kulthi (Horse Gram)
Water (for boiling)
Tamarind pulp (Imli ka khatta)
For Masala:
6–7 Tomatoes
3–4 Onions (roughly chopped)
6–7 Garlic cloves
1 tsp Jeera (Cumin)
1 tsp Methi (Fenugreek seeds)
Fresh Coconut (ground)
For Gufte:
½ kg Kheema (Minced Meat)
Roasted Chana Dal
1 Tomato
1 Onion
Coriander Leaves
5–6 Garlic Cloves
2 Green Chillies
Salt (as per taste)
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
For Gravy:
3 tsp Red Chilli Powder
3 tsp Coriander Powder
1 Pinch Turmeric Powder
Salt (as per taste)
2–3 Boiled Eggs
👩🍳 Method
Boil 750g kulthi by changing the water 2–3 times. Cook until soft and thick.
Grind tomatoes, onions, garlic, jeera and methi into a smooth paste.
Make roasted chana dal powder. Add tomato, onion, coriander leaves, garlic, green chillies, salt, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Grind well.
Add kheema to the mixture, grind again and shape into small gufte.
Add tamarind pulp, ground masala and ground coconut to the cooked kulthi.
Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and salt. Cook until the gravy is well done.
Add boiled eggs and then gently add the gufte. Cook on low flame for a few minutes.
Turn off the flame, cover and let it rest on dum for 5–10 minutes.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
