Dimarzio Super Distortion VS. Seymour Duncan JB (Ceramic) Comparison w/RG550

The Seymour Duncan JB with a ceramic magnet compares very well to the Super Distortion. Since the Super Distortion has a ceramic magnet as well, these pickups sound very close to each other. So much so that it is sometimes hard to tell them apart, especially with lots of gain. The key differences I found were: 1. The SD has slightly more output than the JB. 2. The SD has more high end treble and low end bass response. This makes the JB sound more focused and tamed compared to the SD. 3. Although the JB slightly lacks the deep lows and mega highs of the SD, the JB has a more distinguished mid range that I quite like. Signal chain, pickup height and strings are the same for both playing clips. Both pickups were filmed a day apart.
