Wingfoil: High aspect vs medium aspect foils in 2024.

High aspect and medium aspect hydrofoils have come a long way in the last few years. Have the differences changed that much? I would argue that the lines have blurred. There is a saying that todays high aspect is tomorrows medium aspect and that couldn't be more true. If you're using a system thats over 5 years old you should consider looking into a modern hydrofoil. Modern medium aspects have thinner profiles, less drag, more pump & glide performance and are fun. While modern high aspect foils are easier to use than their predecessors with incomprehensible performance. Size and wingspan make more of a difference with modern foils. Longer wide wingspans have a wider more arching turn with epic lateral stability, while smaller wings roll better regardless.
