Semiconductor in Physics | Energy Band, Intrinsic & Extrinsic Semiconductor, N-Type & P-Type | BMRIT 1st Semester Welcome to Shrii!!!!BMRIT Pathshala. In this lecture, we will study Semiconductors in Basis of Radiation Physics, an important topic of BMRIT 1st Semester. This session explains the conduction of electricity in crystals, energy band theory, intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors, and the classification of N-type and P-type semiconductors. The lecture also covers majority and minority charge carriers, helping students understand the basic principles of semiconductor materials used in electronic devices and medical equipment. Topics Covered in This Lecture Introduction and definition of semiconductors. Conduction of electricity in crystalline materials. Energy band theory and energy band formation. Valence band, conduction band and forbidden energy gap. Classification of solids based on energy bands. Intrinsic semiconductors and their properties. Extrinsic semiconductors and doping. N-type semiconductors and donor impurities. P-type semiconductors and acceptor impurities. Majority and minority charge carriers. Comparison between intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors. Differences between N-type and P-type semiconductors. Important Concepts for BMRIT Examination Energy band theory Forbidden energy gap Intrinsic semiconductor Extrinsic semiconductor Doping and impurity atoms N-type and P-type semiconductors Electrons and holes Majority and minority charge carriers Follow us for more updates: Telegram Channel :- link :- https://t.me/shriiBMRIT Playlist :- Human Physiology    • Medical Ethics   🔹 Anatomy & Physiology    • General Anatomy-II | BMRIT 2nd Semester   🔹 BMRIT Academic Lectures    • Basic physics including radiological physics   🔹 Healthcare & Paramedical Education    • Conventional Radiography & Equipment   Rotating Anode X-Ray Tube | Conventional Radiography & Equipment    • Rotating Anode X-Ray Tube | Conventional R...   Important Examination & Viva Questions Define a semiconductor.
