Kotia Tension: 15 Platoons Deployed, Odisha-Andhra Police Face-Off Sparks Political Row | BJD vs BJP Security has been tightened across the sensitive Kotia region in Odisha's Koraput district following rising tensions between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Heavy police deployment has been made in Fatusineri, Pakunusineri, Madkar and Doliambo villages, with 15 platoons of Odisha Police, four DSPs and 10 inspectors deployed to maintain law and order. Tensions escalated after Odisha and Andhra Pradesh police personnel reportedly faced off in Kotia during an attempt to enter the area, leading to a heated exchange. The situation was brought under control after the Koraput Sub-Collector reached the spot. Meanwhile, the Kotia issue has triggered a political war, with BJD leader Pradeep Majhi blaming the BJP government, while BJP leader Surath Biswal hit back at the BJD over the controversy. #Kotia #KotiaDispute #OdishaAndhraBorder #Koraput #OdishaNews #AndhraPradesh #PoliceDeployment #KotiaTension #PradeepMajhi #SurathBiswal #BJP #BJD #OdishaPolitics #BreakingNews #News18Odia Welcome to News18 Odia, your go-to destination for the latest news and updates from across India and beyond.
