Davette Fournier and her family have kept the breed as pets as well bred the dogs to share with the world. On thier five acre farm in Northern California the family shares thier home with, Hank, Cricket and Princess Fiona, all Johnson style American Bulldogs. The breed was reimagined by Allan Scott and JD Johnson in the 1960s, because many of the original traits of the original English Bulldogs were being lost. The American Bulldog is a great family pet.
