North Warwickshire Cycle Way, Red Route part 3: Up High in the Forest of Arden

This four mile section from Maxstoke is where the gains in elevation really begin. As you head east along Green Lane out of Maxstoke the road ramps up hill quite steep in sections before levelling out. Turning off onto quieter and narrower lanes, you get a bit of a rest bite as you drop down to the B4102and pass under the M6, climbing once again up to Corley Moor. Two pubs here that are both worthy places for a rest stop, the Red Lion and the Bull and Butcher and both have outdoor seating.
