The final night of Chinese New Year in Nanjing turned into one of the most memorable experiences of my China trip. I explored the Qinhuai River by boat, visited the Confucius Temple and the historic imperial examination area, walked through beautifully decorated streets, tried my luck with a Chinese lottery ticket, and finally entered the incredible Qinhuai Lantern Festival late at night when the crowds had reduced.
