The NOTADÜMBLË Rev 1 is the second build-it-yourself kit from JHS. Due to a design issue - the clean side uses the rare BBC-1 pedal circuit, and not the intended 'A Box Later' schematic - caused its discontinuation to be announced two weeks after the first release. The pedal pays tribute to the sound and spirit of Alexander “Howard” Dumble’s iconic amps. It is a two-in-one pedal that lets you choose between soft clipping overdrive and transistor based boost. As the circuits are classic with a few unique additions, added by Josh Scott and team, there are many mods that could be performed, I choose to take advantage of both pedals simultaneously. Inspired by the FET input of the ODS. 00:00 Basic signal analysis 02:25 Unboxing and visual inspection 05:41 Schematic analysis 07:58 Signal path - understanding the switch 12:28 Replace the slider switch with a foot switch? 12:50 Adding another switch (S2) 15:11 Testing the prototype with the scope 16:43 With guitar and amp (Single could with Orange Crush 100) 18:26 A bonus tone! 20:04 Tone testing on the final assembly Pedal https://jhspedals.info/products/notad...
