Rhubarb Transplanting Tips! How to break up large root clusters!

This may have some similar information as other videos on our channel. This video highlights the use of a hedge shear to cut down the tap root before breaking up the cluster into individual crowns. It is important to leave enough root on the crown to get it started but not to much root that it ends up rotting in the hole. Another important tip is the removal of the tap roots and the bottom half of the cluster makes the division process much cleaner and you will need less effort to pull the crowns apart. You can also see this video was taken several weeks into the growing season but before the heat of summer set in.
