September 08, 2024: Jonah - Facing Fears & Avoidances

In this powerful sermon, we explore two transformative Biblical stories that offer profound insights into personal growth and redemption. First, we delve into the story of Onesimus, a runaway slave who encounters the Apostle Paul and undergoes a remarkable journey from a life of servitude to becoming a Bishop in Ephesus. His story highlights the themes of redemption, transformation, and confronting life's challenges head-on. Next, we turn to Jonah's journey, a timeless allegory of facing fears and embracing one's divine purpose. Jonah's initial flight from his mission leads him into the belly of a great fish, symbolizing the internal struggles we face when avoiding our true calling. Through Jonah's eventual return to Nineveh, we learn about the importance of self-discovery, courage, and compassion in fulfilling our purpose. Join us as we uncover the lessons of grace, transformation, and self-acceptance through these Biblical narratives, and discover how facing our fears and embracing our purpose can lead to profound personal growth and fulfillment. 🌟📖 WELCOME TO SONRISE CHURCH A place where you and your family can begin again!
