Help me improve these play-alongs! What worked for you when you played along? What didn't? What ideas do you have to make this better to practice with? I started these videos after seeing how much it helped my students when I mirrored what they needed to play. I want these play-alongs to give drummers and drum students a clear way to practice on their own. I read your feedback and use it to improve the next videos. Thanks for helping me get it right. Practice the Eleven Stroke Roll in 3/4 from 20 to 200 BPM in this mirror view ramp. Follow the tempo rise and land every roll on its accented release stroke. Play R R L L R R L L R R as sixteenth notes into an accented L on the eighth note of beat three. That is five even doubles and one accented single, eleven strokes in all, led by the right hand every bar. Keep the doubles relaxed and make the accent the loudest note of the bar.
