A Border hiking circular to Windy Gyle Hewitt hill via little ward law in the Cheviot Hills,The pennines runs right on the border between England and Scotland and was a place for the smuggling of whiskey over the border.This Northumberland countryside is stunning in a rugged way.The walk Starts in Coquet Valley and the Route crosses moors and moorland.From Deels Hill near the Roman camps, Barrowburn, i walk up The Street to join the Pennine Way to the summit of Windy Gyle.and then return via Trows Law back to the carpark.
