GREAT GLEN WAY MTB | FORT AUGUSTUS TO INVERMORISTON | PART 2. Join Big Stoozer and his best mate Flinty for a three-part mountain biking adventure along one of Scotland’s most spectacular long-distance routes — the Great Glen Way. Starting in the historic Highland village of Fort Augustus, we head onto the Great Glen Way and take the spectacular high route above Loch Ness, with huge views across the famous loch and surrounding Highland mountains. This is proper Scottish cross-country mountain biking, combining challenging climbs, remote Highland tracks, natural singletrack and some incredible scenery. And with Flinty along for the adventure, there is plenty of banter along the way! The Great Glen Way stretches for around 79 miles (127 km) between Fort William and Inverness, following the natural geological corridor of the Great Glen. Much of the route passes through some of the most dramatic scenery in the Scottish Highlands, including the shores of Loch Ness. For this adventure, we're concentrating on the section around Fort Augustus and Invermoriston, taking the elevated route above Loch Ness before eventually descending towards Invermoriston.
