Can a Wiper Motor Unload Your Trailer? Let's find out!

In this video, I show how I built a powerful DIY trailer unloading system that makes unloading gravel, sand, soil, and other bulk materials much faster and easier. The entire mechanism is based on a 12V windshield wiper motor connected to a winch system and powered by an 18V Makita battery. This simple setup turns an ordinary car trailer into a much more practical tool for everyday work. The unloading belt is made from heavy-duty 650 g/m² PVC tarp, strong enough to handle demanding loads and regular use. I also made the rear unloading plate from 3 mm aluminum sheet, which keeps the construction lightweight while providing enough strength. The complete unloading mechanism weighs only around 15 kg, so it can be quickly installed or removed from the trailer whenever needed. This DIY trailer mod is a great solution for anyone transporting gravel, sand, soil, wood chips, or other loose materials. Instead of unloading everything by hand with a shovel, the system allows the load to be removed much more efficiently with a simple electric drive.
