The Schallenberg Pass takes you through a beautiful rural corner of the Bernese Oberland, where rolling green hills, forests and traditional farmhouses line the road. The route feels much quieter than Switzerland's famous alpine passes, but the scenery is just as enjoyable to drive through. At around 1,167 metres above sea level, the pass connects the Emmental with the Thun area and offers plenty of peaceful countryside along the way.
