Texas Released 8 Cougars Into Land Infested with Feral Hogs — No One Expected These Results

Texas is facing a massive feral hog invasion, but what happens when eight powerful cougars enter territory overrun by thousands of wild pigs? Feral hogs have become one of Texas' most destructive invasive species, damaging farmland, threatening native wildlife, and spreading across the state. But mountain lions, also known as cougars or pumas, are among the few natural predators capable of hunting these aggressive wild animals. In this wildlife documentary, we explore what could happen when eight cougars are introduced into hog-infested territory, how these apex predators hunt feral hogs, and why the relationship between predators and invasive species is more complicated than anyone expected. Could restoring natural predators help control Texas' growing wild hog population? Or would the results reveal an even bigger problem? Discover the surprising relationship between Texas mountain lions, invasive feral hogs, and the delicate balance of America's wildlife ecosystems.
